What VerifiedOpens does

VerifiedOpens is a Chrome extension that tells you when emails you send from Gmail are opened and when links in them are clicked, and separates real opens from automated ones.

Data we collect

• From you, only for emails you choose to track: the subject, recipient addresses, the links in the message and the time it was sent. We never read or store the body of your emails and we do not access your inbox.
• From recipients: when a tracked email is opened or a tracked link is clicked, the time and the requesting browser's user-agent string.
• If you sign in with Google: your email address and Google account identifier, used only to keep your history across devices and to manage your subscription. We request no other Google data and no access to Gmail.
• An anonymous install token generated by the extension; we store only a one-way hash of it.
• AI reply assistant: only when you press a VerifiedOpens AI button, the text of the email you are answering and/or your draft (plus the optional business profile you wrote) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate suggestions. It is not stored by us, and under Anthropic's commercial terms it is not used to train their models. We keep only a monthly count of AI requests for plan limits.
• Prospecting: only when you choose “Write an email to this page” from the VerifiedOpens menu, the visible text of the page you are on (for example a LinkedIn profile or a company website) is read once and sent to Anthropic to draft first emails; it is not stored. If you press “Save prospect”, we store that page's address and the name, role, company and email you saved, so you can see and export your prospects. You can delete any prospect at any time.
• Payments are handled by our payment providers (XPay in Egypt, Paddle.com elsewhere). We never see your card details; we only receive confirmation that a pass was paid.

How we use it

Only to show you open and click status, send you alerts, and provide your subscription. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties other than the infrastructure providers that run the service (Cloudflare) our payment providers (XPay, Paddle.com) and, for the AI reply assistant, Anthropic.

Retention and deletion

Tracking data is kept while your account is active. Email support@verifiedopens.com to delete your account and all associated data; we complete deletion within 30 days.

Limited Use

VerifiedOpens's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.
